About The Northern Seaman
Following extensive research and planning (largely aided by alcohol), the three of us (Sam Holmes, Tim Dwyer and Max Heywood) decided to jump on the latest craze of the 21st century; the micropub.
The micropub is the solution to the degeneration of public houses in Britain. Our aims are to support local business and promote social diversity along what has become a culturally stale highstreet.
All our wines and ales are bought from local brewers and vineyards – this means that not only are we supporting growth of local business, but that we can offer a massive range of flavours from the various microbreweries that Kent has to offer (at a very affordable price).
It is our dream to create a community of real ale enthusiasts and socialites by providing a hub of entertainment and good conversation. We seek to introduce the concepts of real ale to a new generation, and wholeheartedly support the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).
We wish to appeal to as many passers by as possible by en-capturing the authenticity of the traditional pub, whilst keeping our ideas fresh and original. The pub will be the centre of live musical entertainment, jam nights, board game nights, stand up comedy and spontaneous good conversation with strangers!
